A natsume (tea caddy) with a glistening gold background, adorned with a serene design of drying nets.

This is a natsume with a drying net maki-e (lacquerware with gold or silver powder) by Saito Sōho. The composition, with overlapping lines forming diagonal grids, evokes the scene of nets being dried. Despite the opulent gold background, it doesn't rely on excessive decoration, exuding a calm atmosphere.

Each time it catches the light, the overlapping net patterns gently emerge, bringing a serene depth to the tea ceremony.

It is a maki-e natsume by a renowned artist, capturing a scene within its stillness.

Comes with a shared box. No signs of use are apparent, and the overall condition appears to be excellent. We kindly ask that those who understand this is a pre-owned item consider purchasing it.
