Dining Chair Driade Meridiana Armchair (1) Made in Italy Modern Mid-Century Luxury
Founded in 1968, driade is an Italian design brand that established its unique aesthetic in the midst of the postmodern movement.
With free-thinking ideas unconstrained by conventional notions and the appointment of cutting-edge designers, driade develops innovative products that fuse with art.
With its refined forms and presence, it brings luxurious value to spaces and has gained high international acclaim.
This is the MERIDIANA armless chair, unveiled in 2004 by designer Christophe Pillet.
As its name suggests, meaning "sundial" or "meridian" in Italian, it features delicate forms that emphasize the interplay of light and shadow.
Pillet, who worked under Philippe Starck, distinctly reflects his refined aesthetic.
The shell, made of durable polycarbonate, has an organic form like woven wire.
While drawing inspiration from the masterpiece Diamond Chair by American mid-century master Harry Bertoia,
the design has been elevated into a modern interpretation of material and structure.
The intersecting lines catch the light, creating delicate shadows that bring lightness and artistic quality to the space.
It's perfect for Italian modern or mid-century spaces, and
pairing it with glass or ceramic tables will create an even more refined and luxurious impression.
It's a chair that adds design and presence to dining scenes and workspaces.
