Maruni Wood Industry MARUNI n series Living Table 105, Beech wood, Silverheart veneer
Maruni Wood Industry (MARUNI) is a leading Japanese furniture manufacturer founded in Hiroshima in 1928.
Advocating for the "industrialization of craftsmanship," they established advanced woodworking and mass production technologies, and have produced numerous pieces of furniture that adapt to the lifestyles of each era.
While cherishing traditional woodworking techniques, they pursue universal designs that blend into modern life, and are highly regarded both domestically and internationally.
This is the living table 105 from Maruni Wood Industry's "n" series.
This living table from the now discontinued "n" series is attractive for its simple form with minimal ornamentation and its bright, light appearance.
The main material used is beech wood, with a silverheart veneer for the top.
The pale natural white finish brings out the gentle expression of the wood, creating a clean impression.
The thinly appearing top has a gentle roundness, and the legs are tapered, narrowing towards the tips.
Although based on straight lines, the corners are not sharply defined, giving it a simple yet somehow soft ambiance.
It also features a user-friendly width of 105cm and a light silhouette due to its slender legs.
This living table embodies the standard design that the "n" series values for its long-lasting usability in everyday life.
Its understated and refined appearance means it doesn't easily clash with other furniture or spaces, allowing it to be naturally incorporated into everyday interiors.
With its bright wood grain and slender tapered legs, this light design is easy to incorporate into a wide range of spaces, including natural, Nordic modern, and simple modern interiors.
It is ideal as a center table in front of a sofa, or for a compact living space when combined with a lounge chair or personal chair.
With a user-friendly width of 105cm, it provides ample tabletop space for daily use, while minimizing a sense of oppression even in smaller living rooms.
When paired with furniture with light wood and fabric sofas, it easily creates a soft and cohesive space, and its simple design also makes it recommended for use as display fixtures in stores and showrooms.
