Rocking Chair Kashiwa Mokko Boston Rocker Beechwood Windsor Style Armchair Vintage 1970s Hida Japanese Modern Folk Craft Furniture Domestic Furniture
Kashiwa Mokko is a long-established furniture manufacturer based in Hida-Takayama.
They are highly regarded for their sturdy and beautiful furniture, which makes the most of the characteristics of wood, and are one of Japan's leading furniture manufacturers.
They create long-loved furniture by combining designs that suit Japanese lifestyles with high processing techniques, based on traditional British Windsor style.
This is a vintage rocking chair from around the 1970s to 1980s.
It was one of Kashiwa Mokko's main products during this period, and features an old logo with "KMK" branding.
It is characterized by a classic design based on the British Windsor style,
and is meticulously crafted down to the smallest details, such as the spoked backrest, delicate turned wood, and gentle curve of the arms.
The solid texture unique to beech wood and the stable structure provide a sense of security and comfort, allowing you to relax and lean back.
The gentle swaying motion unique to a rocking chair is ideal for reading or relaxing.
Furthermore, the deepening color and minor scuffs that come with age give this piece the unique character of a vintage item.
Its well-used texture brings warmth and tranquility to any space.
The design blends naturally not only in British classic, country, and natural modern spaces, but also in Japanese-style spaces.
This rocking chair has a timeless appeal that can be enjoyed for generations.
