Hida Sangyo is a long-established furniture manufacturer founded in 1920 and based in Takayama City, Gifu Prefecture.
Widely known for its woodpecker mark, the company specializes in beautiful curved and carved designs that utilize the woodworking techniques of Hida no Takumi. Its furniture, which combines robustness and warmth, can be cherished for a long time.
This is a captain's chair from the New Colonial series, which was launched in 1981.
The old woodpecker logo, used from around 1970 to 2000, can be seen, adding a historical detail.
This series is based on the traditional colonial style, characterized by its ornamentation and elegant curves, but reinterpreted for modern living by streamlining the lines and enhancing functionality.
It retains a sense of solidity while offering a light and easy-to-handle balance.
The rounded arms and top rail are meticulously carved, creating gentle curves.
The smooth texture felt at the touch speaks to the mastery of Hida no Takumi's woodworking techniques.

*Although there are minor scratches, dents, and leg cap marks from use, storage, and transportation, maintenance has been performed, so it is in a condition where it can be used comfortably.

■ Regarding large items such as furniture
- Please note that some products, such as glass products, cannot be delivered due to the shipping company's conditions.
- Please note that there are some areas in Okinawa Prefecture, some areas in Hokkaido, and remote islands where we cannot ship due to the shipping company's conditions.
- If the product cannot be delivered or if additional delivery charges are required for lifting or other delivery methods, this will be the customer's responsibility and cancellations will not be accepted, so please be sure to check the delivery route and the size of the installation location.
